The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),  Debo Ologunagba, has criticized the administration of the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, describing him as a ‘confused individual’ lacking clear plans or programmes.

Naija News recalls that Aiyedatiwa, during his campaign tour to Igbobini, Kiribo Igbotu, and other communities in the Ese-Odo council areas of the state, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has torn the umbrella of the opposition party.

He urged the residents of Ondo State to support the ruling party in the forthcoming governorship election on November 16, asserting that no other party existed in the state.

In response, Ologunagba in an interview on ARISE NEWS, said Aiyedatiwa’s comment is hallucination, stressing that the Governor is faced with troubling division in the APC.

He said, “He knows within himself, number one, the challenge that he has is within his party, not even from PDP because they are not together; it’s a broken home.”

While emphasizing the PDP’s readiness to participate fully in the election, the party chieftain also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a fair election.

He stated, “We have requested for the transfer of the current commissioner in Ondo State of INEC, who has been proven to be related to many APC leaders in Ondo State, and we’re saying we’re not comfortable.”

According to Ologunagba, the residentS of Ondo state have recognised the “monumental failure” of the APC and will vote for PDP.

He said, “The Ondo state people, they are resolute, and you know they are strong… we are determined. When we make up our minds, we know what to do. Governor Aiyedatiwa is a confused individual who has no plan; who has no program.”

Addressing the crisis in the party, Ologunagba also clarified that “there was no action by Mr Damagum concerning the local government elections in Rivers State.

He further urged people to stop focusing on individual people in the party, asserting, that no one individual controls the party.

He added, “There was no suspension, and in the records of the party, there was no suspension, there were disagreements, yes, there were disagreements, and that has been revolved.”
