Myanmar Vice President Departs for Russia to Attend SPIEF 2026

Myanmar Vice President U Nyo Saw departed for Russia on June 2 to attend the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026), which will be held in St. Petersburg, according to reports.

The Myanmar delegation, led by Vice President U Nyo Saw, left Yangon by air on the morning of June 2 to attend the forum in the Russian Federation. The delegation was seen off at Yangon International Airport by Union Minister U Myint Kyaing, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, the commander of the Yangon Command, regional ministers, and officials from the Russian Embassy in Myanmar.

The delegation accompanying the Vice President includes Union Ministers U Aung Kyaw Hoe, U Htein Lin, U San Oo, U Ko Ko Lwin, U Khin Maung Soe, and U Tun Ohn, as well as Deputy Minister U Ko Ko Kyaw, departmental heads, and other officials.
