Mingaladon Specialist Hospital launches Dental and Oral Disease Specialist Department

The opening ceremony was held on June 3 at Mingaladon Specialist Hospital in Yangon Region and was attended by Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, regional ministers, senior military officers, officials from the Ministry of Health, the Director of the Yangon Region Medical Department, healthcare personnel, and invited guests.
During the ceremony, the Union Minister, the Yangon Region Chief Minister, and the Regional Minister for Social Affairs officially inaugurated the department by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. They later toured the facility, observing the fitting of dentures for 50 monks, specialist treatment rooms for dental and oral diseases, and the specialized dental radiology unit, while providing necessary guidance and support.
The Ministry of Health has established a Dental and Oral Disease Specialist Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw and has also opened specialist dental and oral disease departments at the Kandaw Nadi Ward of Mandalay General Hospital, Specialist Hospital (Thaketa), Yangon General Hospital, and Mingaladon Specialist Hospital.
Members of the public can receive a range of dental services at these facilities, including tooth extractions, fillings, dental implants, scaling and polishing, and denture fitting.
