Man killed, three injured in vehicle accident in Kengtung
· Eleven Media Group Co., LtdA man was killed and three others were injured in a vehicle accident in Kengtung Township, eastern Shan State, according to local social welfare organizations.
The accident occurred at around 9 am. on May 15 while the group was returning from a donation trip to Htat Tin Khar Tawya Monastery in Kengtung. The vehicle reportedly overturned on the way back.
Members of the Taing Nay Social Welfare Association and the Hnalonehla Philanthropic Association rushed to the scene and transported the injured victims to Kengtung General Hospital for emergency treatment.
All four passengers traveling in the vehicle were taken to the hospital, where one man later died from severe injuries, social welfare groups said.
In a separate incident on May 14, another vehicle accident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on the uphill section of the Kengtung-Airport road. One person was injured and was taken to Kengtung Hospital for emergency treatment by the Taing Nay Social Welfare Association.
