University entrance examination for 2025–2026 Academic Year to begin on March 11, 2026
· Eleven Media Group Co., LtdThe University Entrance Examination for the 2025–2026 academic year will begin on March 11, 2026, according to the Department of Myanmar Examinations under the Ministry of Education.
The examination schedule is as follows: March 11 – Myanmar, March 12 – English, March 13 – Mathematics, March 14 – Chemistry / Geography, March 16 – Physics / History, March 17 – Biology / Economics.
Application forms for the 2026 University Entrance Examination were sold from September 1 to September 30, 2025. The application fee is 200 kyats per form, and the examination fee is 700 kyats, payable using Ministry of Education revenue stamps. Forms were available at the Department of Myanmar Examinations (Head Office) in Nay Pyi Taw and the Yangon branch office in Hlaing Township.
Students sitting the examination through their schools were required to obtain application forms from their respective schools, while private candidates were instructed to purchase forms from their relevant Township Education Offices. Applications could be submitted either in person or via an authorized representative to the Department of Myanmar Examinations.
The department stated that application forms and admission cards are issued in two colors—green and pink—depending on subject combinations. For candidates from basic education high schools, branch schools, affiliated schools, and private high schools, principals were responsible for affixing the required revenue stamps and submitting all applications to the department between September 1 and September 30, 2025.
Private candidates were required to purchase application forms and revenue stamps from their Township Education Offices, affix the stamps to the upper left corner of the application form, and submit them to the Township Education Office where they actually reside within the same application period.
The Department of Myanmar Examinations warned that candidates who fail to submit applications within the designated timeframe will not be permitted to sit the examination. It also emphasized that candidates will not be allowed to change subject combinations once stated on the application and admission card. Applicants were therefore urged to carefully check the accuracy of their subject combinations and complete the forms personally.
