Aleksandar Vucic speaks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev

The leader of the "Aleksandar Vucic - United Serbia" election list, Aleksandar Vucic, spoke by phone with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who Vucic said told him that he should be proud of the results of the well-thought-out domestic and foreign policy he led as the president of Serbia.

"My dear friend, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoye called me on the phone and told me that, after many years of serving my country as president, I should be proud of the results of the 'well considered internal and foreign policy' that I led, because Serbia achieved significant successes, which strengthened its reputation on the international stage," Vucic said in a post on Instagram.

He added that Mirziyoyev expressed his satisfaction that by working together they raised the relations between Serbia and Uzbekistan to the level of a strategic partnership, with the hope that bilateral cooperation will continue to develop.

Vucic added that he thanked Mirziyoyev for his sincere friendship and understanding, and especially for his magnificent hospitality during his unforgettable visit to Uzbekistan.

"The achieved political dialogue, intensive exchange and economic cooperation with unlimited possibilities are a valuable legacy, but at the same time a starting point for new achievements, to which I will contribute in a new capacity as well," Vucic stated.
