Belagavi: Police managed to rescue two kids, whose kidnapping video had gone viral on the internet. With the help of the viral CCTV footage and technical tracking, police in Karnataka—where the crime took place—had also arrested three suspects linked to the case on Friday morning (October 25), reported the TOI.

Earlier, a shocking video of two men breaking into a house of a Karnataka businessman in Belagavi district with weapons and quietly abducting the kids on Thursday afternoon had surfaced. Kidnapping of two children, aged 3 and 4 years, in Belagavi was caught on CCTV, reported the ANI.

According to police, the kidnappers had arrived in a car. At the time of the incident, only the grandmother of the kids was at home, claimed reports.

Police said, as reported by TOI, while two men barged into the house and came out carrying the kids, their third accomplice waited for them in a car parked few metres away. The miscreants escaped in a car with the abducted kids, whose parents later lodged a case with Athani Police.

According to reports, one of the abductors apparently confessed to the cops during questioning that he had invested in the business run by the father of those kids and suffered loss. When the father refused to compensate for the loss, he decided to abduct his children, reports stated.
