Odisha: 8-Year-Old ‘Raped’ By Elderly Neighbour, Hospitalised

Jajpur: An eight-year-old girl was admitted to the ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after allegedly being brutally raped by her neighbour at Bari area under Bari-Ramachandrapur police limits in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

The incident took place on October 23 and the accused is an elderly man.

“The accused’s son, daughter, nephew and his sister have been arrested. We would request the SP to conduct a thorough investigation and arrest the accused who has been absconding after the incident,” the girl’s relative told the media.
