by · MyNewsGh.com

Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement after an altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey.

According to TMZ, the incident occurred this week after a disagreement between Combs and another prisoner. Sources told the outlet the two men pushed each other during the confrontation before prison staff intervened and separated them.

The report said Combs was subsequently placed in solitary confinement, although it remains unclear whether he is still there or whether the incident will affect his expected release date.

Responding to TMZ, an FCI Fort Dix spokesperson said the prison could not disclose information about individual inmates. The Federal Bureau of Prisons also declined to comment, citing privacy, safety and security concerns.

Combs is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted in October 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was transferred to FCI Fort Dix from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His current projected release date is February 23, 2028.
