Some NPP members did not vote because I left NPP – Alan Kyerematen
by Miss Naa · MyNewsGh.comAlan Kyerematen has questioned the turnout of NPP sympathisers in the 2024 general elections, arguing that the number of people who stayed away from the polls requires closer examination.
The United Party (UP+) leader said some NPP members had told him they did not vote because of his decision to leave the party.
“How is it possible that 2.1 million sympathisers of the party did not vote during the 2024 elections?” Kyerematen asked in an interview on Adom FM.
He added: “Some NPP members have disclosed they did not vote in the 2024 election because I left the party.”
Kyerematen withdrew from the NPP presidential primary race in September 2023 and formally resigned from the party on September 25, 2023. He later contested the 2024 presidential election as an independent candidate under the Movement for Change.
