TikToker Camilla Alhassan sentenced to one year over false claims about President Mahama

Alhassan pleaded guilty to charges of offensive conduct and publication of false news.
She was arrested after posting videos alleging that President Mahama sacrificed 32 cows as part of ritual activities to secure victory in the 2024 general elections. The claims were made without supporting evidence.
The Accra Circuit Court subsequently convicted her and imposed a one-year custodial sentence.
