Lake Macquarie service station at centre of police operation

Witnesses confirmed a police operation had been under way at the King Street business on Friday, September 11.
A NSW Police spokesperson declined to provide initial details as investigations continue.
It is understood no-one was injured in the incident, which unfolded on Friday morning.
Police tape remained up around the service station during the morning and into the afternoon.
By the afternoon the business was open and operating.
A clerk at the service station declined to comment, deferring to the station's fuel provider Ampol.
Comment has been sought from the provider.
Investigators have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police urge members of the public not to report crime via social media.
