One seriously hurt in Christchurch moped crash

A person was transported to hospital in serious condition after a crash involving a moped in Sockburn.

Police were notified around 7.55am of the crash involving a vehicle and a moped on Main South Road.

"One person was transported to hospital via ambulance in serious condition," a police spokeswoman said.

The road was blocked but reopened around 8.45am.
