Two killed in Mt Aspiring helicopter crash

Two people are dead following a helicopter crash at Mt Aspiring National Park this morning. 

In a statement, police said the first reports of the crash came in at about 9.50am.

"Maritime NZ's Rescue Coordination Centre has handed responsibility for the response to Police, who are on scene now," the statement read.
