Four vehicles involved in Glenorchy-Queenstown Rd crash

One person was transported to hospital with moderate injuries after a four-vehicle crash between Glenorchy and Queenstown yesterday.

A police spokesperson said they were called to a report of a multi-vehicle crash in Glenorchy-Queenstown Rd, about 2pm on Monday.

“It appears there were four vehicles involved, and injuries ranged from minor to moderate.”

The road was blocked in both directions while the vehicles were removed.

One lane was opened with stop-go traffic management in place for about an hour and a-half later, the spokesperson said.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they responded with one ambulance and one first response unit.

One patient was assessed at the scene and transported to Lakes District Hospital in a moderate condition.
