TVXQ’s Yunho changes first solo concert tour venue due to ongoing Jamsil protests

TVXQ’s Yunho has changed the venue for his upcoming concert due to the prolonged protests near Jamsil.

SM Entertainment announced on July 7 through Weverse that 'Yunho Project 26: Scenario One in Seoul' would be moved to a different location to ensure the event proceeds smoothly.

The first stop of Yunho’s first solo concert tour will no longer take place at Ticketlink Live Arena (Handball Stadium) at Olympic Park in Songpa District, Seoul. Instead, the concert will be held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium.

The venue change was made because it became difficult to use the original concert site. A protest condemning the shortage of voting ballots during the June 3 local elections has been ongoing near the venue for about a month.

We apologize for the delayed announcement as we had to go through the venue rental approval process,” SM Entertainment stated. “We hope this change does not cause any confusion for attendees.”

Previously, Nexon also relocated its 'MapleStory' showcase to KINTEX in Ilsan due to the impact of the protests. HYBE’s 'Weverse Con' also adjusted its operations and proceeded with the event under a revised plan.

Meanwhile, Yunho is set to release his new song “Time’s Tickin’” on July 20.
