Members of TWS apologized to fans after their scheduled Shanghai fan signing events were canceled due to a typhoon, stepping up to address the situation as their agency faces criticism for its lack of response.

The group was scheduled to hold fan signing events in Shanghai on July 11 and 12, but the appearances were canceled due to the impact of the typhoon. However, Pledis Entertainment has yet to release an official statement or apology regarding the cancellation. The agency has faced criticism from fans, who questioned why the members were left to personally apologize for the situation.

The six members shared messages through the official fan community platform Weverse to comfort their fandom, 42.

"I was looking forward to seeing 42 today, so it hurts my heart to share this news with you. But above all, the safety of 42 is the most important thing," Shinyu wrote. "It is disappointing that we could not meet this time, but we have many more days ahead of us, so let's make sure to meet again next time. If you are currently in Shanghai or traveling, please be careful and prioritize your safety."

Hanjin also expressed his disappointment, writing, "I am so sorry that we could not meet today. Although it is unfortunate that we were unable to see each other this time, we still have so much time ahead of us, so let's meet again with smiles next time. Please stay safe and healthy until we meet again."

Youngjae shared his frustration over the unexpected cancellation: "As the members mentioned, I feel truly disappointed that we ended up bringing an unexpected situation to our 42, who had been waiting only for today's Shanghai event. The word 'variable' seems to have become something that takes up a big part of my life lately, and every time something like this happens, it feels very upsetting."

"I know many of our 42 are upset because our meeting was suddenly canceled. I am also very sad and disappointed," Dohoon shared. "Since the safety of our 42 comes first, I hope you can have a good day while looking forward to the days when we can meet again. To all 42 in Shanghai and those in areas affected by the typhoon, please stay safe."

On July 12, Jihoon posted a message, writing, "I really wanted to go and meet 42, so my heart hurts that we could not see each other. Even so, my top priority is for 42 to be safe and happy. Since 42 are always in my heart, I will keep thinking of you and work hard until I can come meet you again."

Kyungmin also apologized to fans, adding, "I think our beloved 42 must have been surprised and upset by the sudden news early this morning. We were also very disappointed that the event was canceled so unexpectedly. It hurts even more knowing how disappointed 42 must feel, but above all, I hope you stay safe and well."

Meanwhile, TWS has been holding its concert tour '24/7: FOR: YOU' since June 27.
