Park Ji Hoon unveiled in new poster for ‘The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier,’ returns as military cook

Singer-actor Park Ji Hoon, affectionately nicknamed “Prince Danjong,” is set to return as a military cook in a new drama.

'The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier' is a military cooking fantasy that follows private Kang Sungjae (played by Park Ji Hoon), who swaps his rifle for a kitchen knife and his ammunition belt for an apron as he rises to become a “legendary cook soldier.”

On May 4, the production team unveiled a welcome poster for the Gangrim outpost. The poster features the characters posing against a dreamy, cloud-like backdrop. Kang Sungjae stands out with a neat cook uniform and a confident smile, drawing attention with his clean and composed image.

Surrounding him are seven fellow soldiers, including Sergeant Park Jaeyoung (played by Yoon Kyungho), Lieutenant Jo Yerin (Han Dong Hee), Sergeant Yoon Dong Hyun (Lee Hong nae), Captain Hwang Seok Ho (Lee Sang Yi), along with Sergeant Kim Gwancheol (Kang Ha Kyung), Lieutenant Colonel Baek Chun Ik (Jung Woon Gin), and Colonel Bae Wonyoung (Ahn Gil Kang). Anticipation is building around the stories these characters will create together.

'The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier'  is set to premiere on May 11 at 8:50 p.m. KST on Tving and tvN.
