BewhY criticizes elementary school gender education, sparking public debate
by Demian09 · allkpopChristian rapper BewhY publicly criticized the current state of gender education in elementary schools, prompting a broader public debate.
On March 20, BewhY shared images on his personal social media account that appear to show excerpts from educational materials used in elementary school classrooms. The materials describe gender as encompassing both biological sex and socially and culturally constructed roles, emphasizing the importance of understanding diverse aspects of gender rather than strictly categorizing it.
Responding to the content, BewhY expressed strong concern, adding captions such as, “Are they in their right mind?” and “Is it illegal for educators to be educated themselves?” His remarks suggested skepticism toward educational approaches that extend beyond biological definitions to include broader social concepts of gender.
In subsequent posts, BewhY reinforced his perspective by sharing several passages from the Bible, including verses that describe humanity as being created “male and female.” Through these references, he appeared to emphasize a belief that gender is an inherent aspect of divine creation rather than a socially constructed concept.
He concluded his series of posts with statements reading, “Freedom without truth is nothing but indulgence,” and “The path of truth is always one,” underscoring his firm stance on the issue.
Public reaction has been divided. Some individuals have expressed support for the rapper, describing his comments as a principled stance and raising concerns about potential confusion in children’s education. Others, however, have criticized his views as being at odds with contemporary educational approaches that aim to promote diversity and inclusivity.
BewhY married his non-celebrity partner in 2020 after eight years of dating. He later served as a conscripted policeman beginning in 2021 and became a father during his military service. He now has two children.
