CORTIS apologizes over flight delay, denies “bridge outfit change” allegations
by Demian09 · allkpopCORTIS’s agency issued an apology after a delayed departure on a Paris-to-Seoul flight, while firmly rejecting several circulating allegations surrounding the incident.
HYBE’s label Big Hit Music apologized on June 30, stating to Dispatch that it “sincerely apologizes to passengers who were inconvenienced while using the same flight as CORTIS.”
The controversy began on June 26, when a flight from Paris, France to Incheon, South Korea departed later than scheduled. Reports suggested the delay was caused by a late boarding involving a specific celebrity passenger, later identified as CORTIS.
According to the agency, CORTIS had been attending Paris Fashion Week and was en route to the airport when they encountered traffic congestion caused by an accident, which contributed to their delayed arrival.
However, the agency strongly denied additional claims that have circulated online. In particular, allegations that the group obstructed passenger movement and changed outfits on a boarding bridge during a previous Japan departure were described as false.
Claims that CORTIS had repeatedly been late for boarding on prior flights were also refuted. The agency stated that during their May departure from Japan, the group completed boarding before the check-in deadline.
Meanwhile, CORTIS is preparing for its first world tour following its debut. The tour will kick off on July 18–19 at Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea.
