Trial continues for intruder accused of attacking Nana at her home
by Minsoo-Kim · allkpopThe trial of a man accused of breaking into the home of Nana and committing robbery-related violence is continuing in court.
On May 12 KST, the First Criminal Division of the Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court is set to hold another hearing for a man in his 30s, identified as A, who has been detained and indicted on charges of robbery resulting in injury.
During the hearing, the court is expected to conduct witness questioning involving an individual connected to the medical injury reports submitted for Nana and her mother.
A is accused of breaking into Nana’s home in Guri in November last year and threatening her mother with a weapon while demanding valuables.
According to reports, Nana and her mother subdued the intruder after a physical struggle inside the residence. During the confrontation, A sustained injuries and later filed a counterclaim against Nana alleging attempted murder and other charges.
However, police determined Nana’s actions constituted self-defense and decided not to pursue charges against her.
Nana previously appeared as a witness during the third hearing held on April 22. During the trial, she reportedly confronted the defendant directly, expressing anger by saying, “Is this fun for you? Look me in the eyes properly.”
She also spoke about the emotional aftermath of the incident, stating that although she initially thought she was fine, the event had remained with her as trauma.
The sentencing hearing for A is scheduled to take place on June 4.
