HPD seeking man who allegedly took acquaintance’s vehicle

A 34-year-old man forcibly took a female acquaintance’s vehicle in Kapolei this afternoon and fled the area after allegedly shoving her to the ground, a Honolulu Police Department report said.

District 8 patrol officers responded to the robbery incident in the area of Keahumoa Parkway and Maunakapu Street. The 31-year-old female victim reported that an argument with a male acquaintance escalated, resulting in the man forcibly taking her vehicle.

The man was in possession of a firearm when the woman was pushed to the ground during the incident. No injuries were reported, and a 2-year-old child involved was not injured.

The stolen vehicle is described as a white 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Hawaii license plate TZA201.

The investigation is ongoing.
