Lindsay Clancy Jurors Say the Lone Male Holdout Was “Arrogant, Unwilling To Listen And Dismissive Of Information.”

Eleven jurors were ready to find Lindsay Clancy not criminally responsible for killing her three children. One man wouldn’t join them, and his refusal ended the trial in a mistrial with the panel split 11-1.
Now three of the jurors have described what happened behind closed doors, and their account paints the lone holdout as immovable no matter how the evidence was laid out.
Three female jurors described their deliberations to NBC10 Boston, the first any juror has spoken since the case collapsed. They said they read the man the definition of reasonable doubt again and again, and he still wouldn’t move.
One of them says the holdout even admitted he had reasonable doubt after the panel rewatched an interview in evidence. She started filling out the verdict forms, and he told her he still wouldn’t find Lindsay Clancy not guilty.
One of the three, a retired fifth-grade special needs teacher named Ronnie, joked that steering the room was harder than managing her classroom. The arguing got loud enough that the alternate jurors could hear it from another room.
The three said they thought prosecutors showed no compassion, and they praised defense attorney Kevin Reddington. One said she’d hire him herself if she ever needed a lawyer.
