Oren, Alon and Tal Alexander each received a 30-year prison sentence in Manhattan on October 27, double the 15-year minimum they’d requested. Prosecutors had asked for life sentences for the brothers, whose convictions included conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.

US District Judge Valerie Caproni sentenced twins Oren and Alon, 39, and their brother Tal, 40, 7 months after a 6-week trial. Caproni described their conduct as “monstrous.”

Prosecutors said the brothers used their wealth and social connections to target women and girls for at least 14 years. More than 70 women said at least 1 of the brothers had assaulted them, with allegations spanning Manhattan, the Hamptons and Aspen, Colorado.

Oren and Tal co-founded Official, a luxury real estate brokerage. Alon worked as an executive at Kent Security, their family’s security company.

Among the incidents prosecutors described was an assault involving 3 high school girls in Aspen in January 2017. The girls were celebrating their senior year at a nightclub when, prosecutors said, the brothers drugged them and lured them to a 5-star hotel with the promise of an after-party, then assaulted them.

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said: “With today’s sentencing, they will finally face the consequences they deserve for the incredible harm they inflicted on so many.”
