Diddy’s time behind bars has reportedly taken a violent turn, with the music mogul said to have been seriously hurt in an altercation with a notorious fellow inmate. The incident has raised fresh questions about his treatment at the federal facility and the tensions it may have stirred among those serving time alongside him.
Diddy was reportedly taken by ambulance from FCI Fort Dix to an outside medical facility early October 10 after suffering a serious head injury in a fight with fellow inmate Christopher “Dudus” Coke the day before.
Sources inside the prison say the fight followed a report about Diddy’s privileged treatment behind bars. They say officials subsequently carried out at least 2 raids, seizing inmates’ cell phones, including Coke’s. According to those sources, Coke and other inmates blamed Diddy for the crackdown.
Coke, a Jamaican drug lord, has been serving a 23-year sentence since 2012. Prison sources describe him as a powerful figure among inmates and say he was angry about losing privileges after the raids.
Diddy was already in the Special Housing Unit, or solitary confinement, when the fight allegedly happened during his daily break. Sources say both men were assigned 2 weeks in solitary after the altercation.
