Hillary Clinton to Break Down the ‘High Stakes’ of the 2026 Midterms on New Podcast

· Rolling Stone

Hillary Clinton is set to return to the podcasting game, partnering with journalist Kara Swisher for a new show, High Stakes, that will air in the lead-up to the 2026 midterm elections.

High Stakes will debut Wednesday, Oct. 14, and will be distributed via the same feed as Swisher’s other show, On With Kara Swisher. New episodes will air weekly through mid-November as the pair discuss the major issues and races in the control for Congress ahead of the second half of Donald Trump’s second term in office.

“I don’t think the stakes for the country and the world could be any higher,” Clinton told The New York Times. “If we don’t reverse this chaos and corruption and cruelty that is being visited upon us by this administration, we won’t recognize our country.”

This will mark Clinton’s second major foray into podcast after the former Secretary of State hosted her own interview series, You and Me Both With Hillary Clinton, which aired more than 50 episodes between 2020 and 2023. As it stands, High Stakes will just have a limited run, though more episodes are possible if the show is successful.

Clinton and Swisher have appeared together at numerous events over the years, but the idea for High Stakes came out of a lengthy chat the pair had at a party this spring. Swisher enjoyed the conversation so much, she tapped Clinton to fill in for co-host Scott Galloway on an August episode of her other podcast, Pivot. After that, she persuaded Clinton to team up with her for High Stakes.

“There’s a thing about the secretary, where it’s like, ‘Oh, if you knew her in the room, she’s so funny,’” Swisher said, adding, “We’re going to try to show you that room.”
