Video: 4 men pose as transgenders to extort BMW owner in Hyderabad, arrested
A video showed four men stopping a BMW owner outside a Jubilee Hills café and demanding Rs 5,000. The clip triggered a police investigation that traced the accused to Boduppal and led to their arrest.

A newly purchased BMW had barely left a caf when four cross-dressed men stopped the car and demanded Rs 5,000. What followed was a police hunt involving around 500 CCTV clips and a social media video that eventually led investigators to four men in Boduppal.
A YouTuber captured the confrontation on camera and posted the video on X, bringing the extortion attempt to the attention of Telangana DGP C V Anand.
According to police, the incident took place on August 21 outside True Black Coffee on Road No. 45 in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills. The BMW owner had visited the caf in his newly purchased car and was stopped by the four men while leaving.
The men demanded Rs 5,000 from him.
A YouTuber recorded the incident and later posted the video on X. Telangana DGP C V Anand reportedly took note of the post and directed Jubilee Hills Police to investigate the matter.
POLICE EXAMINE 500 CCTV CLIPS
As part of the investigation, police examined around 500 CCTV footage clips over more than a month to trace the men seen in the video.
The investigation led police to Boduppal, where a joint team of Jubilee Hills Police and the Task Force detained the accused.
The four accused were identified as Ramesh, 40, a daily-wage worker, Satyanarayana, 41, Ramesh, 42, and Yadagiri, 44. All four are residents of Kakatiya Kalanagar in Boduppal.
ACCUSED TARGETED MOTORISTS
Police alleged that the four men would cross-dress as transgenders and stop vehicles at traffic junctions and other locations. They harassed motorists and demanded money.
The four men were arrested and subsequently remanded in judicial custody, police said.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
