According to the information provided, the young man had been in a relationship with a woman from neighbouring Chitrakoot district since last year.
The couple reportedly wanted to get married and had been in regular contact. However, the marriage could not move forward as their families opposed the relationship. According to the woman's family, the man's family was not willing to accept the marriage proposal. As a result, the couple had been under mental stress.
According to the information available, after spending time together on the previous day, the couple allegedly decided that if they could not live together, they would die together. They then allegedly consumed a poisonous substance.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, took custody of the bodies and sent them to Rani Durgavati Medical College in Banda for post-mortem examination. Police have initiated further legal proceedings.
The deaths brought a tragic end to what was described as a years-long love story and left both families in mourning.
Confirming the incident, police said that a young man and a woman from Chitrakoot died by suicide. They said post-mortem examinations of the bodies are being conducted, a love affair between the two has come to light during the preliminary inquiry, and further legal action will be taken after the investigation.
