The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a change in the examination centre for NEET UG 2026 re-exam candidates in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The decision comes just days before the exam scheduled for June 21, with the agency issuing an official notice confirming the revised arrangement.
According to the NTA, the earlier allotted centre, Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Centre at the University of Allahabad, will no longer be used for the examination.
NEW VENUE DETAILS
As per the updated notification, the examination will now be conducted at the Department of Medieval and Modern History, Senate House Campus, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj.
The new centre is located within the adjoining University of Allahabad campus and falls under the same postal region, ensuring accessibility for candidates who were earlier allotted the cultural centre.
WHY THE CENTRE WAS CHANGED
The agency said the change was made following recommendations from the District Level Committee and the District Administration. The notice cited ongoing construction work, non-availability of electricity and other administrative constraints as key reasons behind the decision.
The NTA clarified that the revised arrangement applies only to candidates who were earlier assigned the affected centre.

Students affected by the change have been advised to carefully check the official notice issued by the NTA and report to the new venue on the day of the examination.
