Plumber kills elderly couple, help during argument at home in Dehradun; detained
An intruder allegedly entered an elderly couple's Dehradun home and fatally attacked them and their maid with a screwdriver. Police are probing a suspected robbery angle while forensic teams work to trace the accused.

An elderly couple and their house help were killed allegedly by a plumber during an argument at their home in Dehradun on Tuesday, police said. Police have detained the accused who was acquainted with the couple in connection with the triple murder.
Police said the couple – KS Kapoor (80) and his wife Rajni (76) – had called the plumber, whose identity was not known, to their home to carry out some work. After the work was completed, an argument broke out between them, following which the accused attacked the couple and their help, Tiliya Devi, 55, according to police.
The house help was originally from Bihar's Darbhanga.
Police and forensic teams reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and began collecting evidence. Senior police officers, including the Dehradun SSP, also visited the scene and reviewed the investigation.
Police are interrogating the detained plumber to establish the circumstances and motive behind the killings.
Initial information had suggested that the crime may have been linked to a robbery, but investigators are now probing the circumstances surrounding the argument between the couple and the accused.
