According to the account of the incident, the truck was carrying stones when it allegedly drove off after being signalled to stop. The vehicle then reportedly continued along the wrong side of the expressway, with stones falling onto the carriageway and creating a hazardous situation for other motorists.

Dadri Police later reached the spot and removed the stones lying on the highway, after which normal traffic movement was restored. The visuals that surfaced online showed the truck moving at speed with its cargo bed open, adding to attention around the incident.

However, the matter has taken another turn after the Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Noida, said the team seen in connection with the episode was not from the department.

The officer also suggested that the truck may have been pursued by police from Palwal in Haryana. Dadri Police, on their part, said they had not received any complaint in the case. For now, the viral video has raised questions over what exactly happened on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
