Jaipur Police have detained three minors, aged 10 to 12, for allegedly beheading a 12-year-old neighbour after he allegedly made remarks to one accused's sister. The victim's skull was found in a sewer.

The Jaipur Police have detained three minors for allegedly murdering a 12-year-old boy after the victim allegedly said something to the sister of one of the accused, causing offence, police said.
According to the police, the victim and the accused lived in the same neighbourhood. The accused are in the 10 to 12 years age group, with two of them believed to be below 12 years of age. The victim's skull was found lying separated from his body in a sewer, suggesting suspected beheading of the skull. However, police did not find any sharp marks on the victim's body.
The Jaipur Police have claimed to have solved the murder following an investigation led by Station House Officer Gur Bhupendra Singh and DST In-charge Vishambhar. As per information, the case was cracked after the police questioned more than 150 people.
Given the gravity of the crime, the police formed a special investigation team to probe the case. During the investigation, officers questioned over 150 people before the involvement of the three minors came to light based on evidence from the crime scene, technical data and other clues.
Following the initial investigation, the police pieced together the sequence of events using technical evidence and interrogations. The police also recovered the knife allegedly used in the murder.
