From Instagram friendship to a live-in relationship, then murder in Bengaluru
Anusha and Sharath, both residents of Sakleshpur in Karnataka's Hassan district, are said to have connected through Instagram before moving into a rented house together in Bengaluru about six months ago.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly strangling his live-in partner to death following an ongoing series of heated arguments between the couple that took a fatal turn last week in Bengaluru's Malleswaram area.
The victim, 20-year-old Anusha, and the accused, Sharath, were both residents of Sakleshpur in Hassan district. The couple reportedly met on Instagram and had been living together in a rented house in Malleswaram for the past six months.
According to police, a heated argument over personal issues escalated on Saturday night, following which Sharath allegedly strangled Anusha to death. He was employed as a water tanker driver in the city.
The crime came to light on Monday when Sharath allegedly confided in his lawyer, who subsequently informed the police. Acting on the information, Seshadripuram police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and launched an investigation.
A case has been registered, and the accused has been arrested. Police are currently interrogating Sharath to ascertain the exact motive behind the murder. Further investigation is underway.
