A thirty-year-old Indian-origin nurse, Jasmine Gill, has been found murdered in California. Her burnt and buried remains were discovered by United States authorities in El Dorado County. Her husband, twenty-eight-year-old Gurinder Gill, has been arrested and charged with murder without bail. The suspect initially claimed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents had taken his wife away, an allegation denied by the agency. Authorities noted that the killing occurred amid an ongoing divorce and child custody dispute. The deceased nurse leaves behind an eight-month-old infant, and arrangements are being made to send her mortal remains to her mother in India.
