A shocking triple murder has rocked Bengaluru, where a couple and their 19-year-old daughter were allegedly stabbed to death inside an apartment, where their elder daughter was staying with her boyfriend. Police suspect the couple and have launched a hunt for the duo, who are currently on the run.
The victims have been identified as Soma Sundar (52), his wife Muthu Lakshmi (48), and their daughter Supriya (19).
According to police, all three suffered multiple stab injuries.
Preliminary investigation has led police to suspect the involvement of the couple’s elder daughter Shwetha and her boyfriend Kenneth.
Officials said the murders may be linked to opposition from the family over the couple’s live-in relationship.
According to police, Shwetha and Kenneth had reportedly been staying together in the apartment for the past two months. Investigators suspect that an argument broke out when the victims visited the flat, following which the stabbing allegedly took place.
The accused are currently absconding, and KR Puram police teams have launched a search operation to trace them.
Police are continuing their investigation to establish the exact sequence of events and the motive behind the killings.
