Two unidentified men, who allegedly belonged to the Bambiha gang, opened fire at the home of a businessman in Delhi on Saturday, October 26.

The two bike-borne assailants also left a slip after firing at least six to seven gunshots outside the home of the business in the city's Rani Bagh area at around 8.40 pm. The Bambiha gang is considered an arch-rival of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Bishnoi, one of the accused in the 2022 murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, is currently lodged in Gujarat's Sabarmati jail. His gang also claimed responsibility for the murder of senior Maharashtra leader Baba Siddique.

According to the police sources, the slip contained the names of two Bambiha gang members, identified as Kushal Chaudhary and Pawar Shaukee. Chaudhray is currently lodged in a Gurgram jail and was on the hit list of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, police sources said.

The family has not received an extortion call. After the incident, a team of Delhi Police reached the spot and started a probe into it.

A case has been filed on the complaint of the businessman under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and efforts are underway to identify the two men, police said.

Earlier on October 20, a 35-year-old man was killed while two others sustained bullet injuries in an incident of cross-firing in northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri area.

The deceased was identified as Deepak alias Patrakar. After the incident, the police team was rushed to the spot for a detailed investigation.
