Monsoon rains in Mumbai claimed another life on Sunday after a tree fell on a 63-year-old man.
According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials, the incident took place in the Naupada area in Kurla West, where Yunus Kundawala sustained critical injuries after being struck by a falling tree. He was rushed to Fauzia Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
CCTV footage captured the moment the tree collapsed on Kundawala.
Following the incident, BMC teams reached the spot and carried out trimming and removal of the fallen tree.
At least six people have died so far in India's financial capital following heavy rainfall and strong winds. Despite the late onset of the monsoon, the country's financial capital has been recording heavy rain since the start of this week.
