A chaotic scene was witnessed on a highway in Maharashtra’s Palghar as people rushed to collect milk from a tanker that had overturned on Monday.

A large quantity of milk spilt onto the road following the accident on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway, prompting several locals to gather around the tanker with bottles.

Visuals showed the driver and local villagers collecting the spilt milk in bottles as it spread across the highway.

The accident temporarily disrupted traffic on the highway. After receiving information about the accident, the concerned department took steps to clear the road and restore traffic movement.

No casualties have been reported so far. The exact cause of the tanker accident is yet to be determined.
