Property dealer shot dead outside Delhi gym, gunmen flee on scooter

A property dealer was shot dead by unknown assailants outside a gym in north Delhi's Narela on Thursday morning. The victim has been identified as Pramod Dahiya, who was a resident of Haryana's Sonipat district.

Prima facie, the killing appears to be related to an extortion attempt. The incident took place around 7 am when the attackers arrived on a scooter, fired multiple shots at Pramod, and fled the spot.

Police are scanning CCTV camera footage from the area to identify the assailants and determine the exact sequence of events. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

A similar incident took place in Haryana's Yamunanagar district, where a finacier was shot dead outside a gym. The victim, identified as Harbhajan Singh, had just stepped out after exercising when bike-borne assailants opened fire at him.

The attackers fled the spot on a motorcycle after the shooting. Singh was declared brought dead by doctors at the hospital.

The incident occurred a short distance from the official residence of the Superintendent of Police (SP).

Several police teams rushed to the spot as soon as information about the incident was received. SP Kamal Deep Goyal himself reached the crime scene.

Police are scanning CCTV camera footage for clues to identify the attackers.
