NEET UG counselling 2026 schedule out; registration begins August 5

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG Counselling 2026 for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ).

Candidates who have qualified for NEET UG 2026 will be able to visit the official MCC website to complete the online registration process once the registration link is activated. According to the official schedule, the counselling process will be conducted in three rounds, followed by a Stray Vacancy Round.

The counselling will be conducted online and will be based on candidates' NEET UG 2026 ranks. Aspirants are advised to read the counselling information bulletin carefully before registering, as admissions are subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the Dental Council, and other relevant regulatory bodies.

• Choice Filling/ Locking: August 6 to August 13, 2026
• Processing of Seat Allotment: August 13 to August 16, 2026
• Result: August 17, 2026
• Reporting/ Joining: August 18 to August 22, 2026
• Verification of joined candidates' data by institutes: August 23, 2026

For Round 2:

• Registration/Payment: August 25 to August 29, 2026
• Choice Filling/ Locking: August 25 to August 30, 2026
• Processing of Seat Allotment: August 31 to September 1, 2026
• Result: September 2, 2026
• Reporting/ Joining: September 3 to September 8, 2026
