A nine-year-old Class 4 student died after accidentally falling from a staircase at a private school in Shadnagar town, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana.

The incident reportedly occurred at Indian Public School in Shadnagar on Thursday. The student, reportedly slipped and lost her balance while descending the staircase.

The girl sustained serious injuries to her face and fell unconscious. School staff immediately shifted her to a nearby hospital, where she was undergoing treatment.

However, she succumbed to her injuries on Friday while receiving treatment.

A CCTV camera installed near the staircase reportedly captured the incident. Further details regarding the circumstances of the accident and any action by the authorities are awaited.
