A customer in Gujarat's Jamnagar has alleged that pieces of non-vegetarian food were found in a vegetarian pasta ordered online, prompting an official complaint to the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation's Food Department.

According to the complaint, Paresh Chudasama ordered a veg pasta through Zomato from a hotel located near Digjam Circle in Jamnagar. While eating the pasta, he allegedly noticed pieces that appeared to be non-vegetarian, following which he immediately raised an objection.

Chudasama claimed that such negligence is particularly hurtful to people who do not consume non-vegetarian food due to their religious beliefs. He said the incident had hurt his religious sentiments and demanded a fair investigation along with strict action against the hotel concerned.

After receiving the complaint, the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation's Food Department initiated the process of investigating the matter. The investigation will determine the nature of the substance found in the pasta and whether any negligence occurred during the preparation or delivery of the food.
