Protest erupts outside Georgian parliament over investment deal with Russia

Protesters gathered outside parliament on Friday in the Russian-backed breakaway Georgian region of Abkhazia, where opposition has been building to a recent investment agreement with Moscow, Russia's RIA state news agency reported.

Law enforcement officers responded by throwing smoke grenades into the crowd, it said.
