I got paid: UP man admits to targeting Hindu girls on Instagram for nude photos
A viral video shows Samad Qureshi allegedly claiming he targeted Hindu girls for money. The Delhi Police FIR, however, centres on a minor's allegations of harassment, threats and sharing of intimate photographs.

Samad Qureshi, a resident of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh who lives in Delhi, claimed that he targeted Hindu girls for money. In the video, Qureshi says he received Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 for targeting Hindu girls.
When asked who funded him, he named “Sonu bhai, Sabir bhai, Rehan bhai, Shoaib bhai and Munna bhai."
According to the victim's statement, the accused first approached her on Instagram and introduced himself using the fake name Aman. He started messaging her to befriend her.
When she refused to speak to him, the victim alleged, he created another Instagram account and started messaging her again. She blocked that account as well.
The victim further said that after she rejected his advances, the accused went to the gates of her school. He took her to an under-construction building and tried to kiss her and force himself on her.
She said her brother reached the spot in time, threatened the accused and saved her from him.
The victim claimed that the accused continued contacting her on WhatsApp using phone numbers belonging to his friends. He repeatedly tried to befriend her.
When she continued to refuse his advances, the victim alleged, he threatened to kill one of her family members. She said she became scared and therefore agreed to befriend him.
According to her statement, the accused then met her outside the school gates several times.
In May, the victim alleged, the accused contacted her on WhatsApp from a friend's phone number and asked her for nude photographs.
When she refused, he allegedly threatened to kill her and her family. The victim said she became scared and sent the photographs.
Days later, one of her friends told her that the accused was sharing and showing her photographs to his friends.
When the victim confronted him, she alleged, he told her that his name was Samad Qureshi. He also told her that he had photographs of other women.
The victim further alleged that Qureshi threatened to make her photographs go viral and show them to her family if she told anyone about the matter.
The victim then filed a complaint against Qureshi.
Based on her complaint, Delhi Police registered a case under Sections 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, Section 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for sexual harassment, Section 351 of the BNS for criminal intimidation, and Section 79 of the BNS for insulting the modesty of a woman.
Police arrested Qureshi and sent him to jail. According to the information provided, a police statement said Qureshi admitted to the incident with the girl.
During the court proceedings, however, Qureshi alleged that some people had assaulted him and recorded the viral video. He said he had been beaten and that the video was made after the assault.
The court issued a notice to the Delhi Police Joint Commissioner and sought a response.
The complaint filed by the 14-year-old juvenile victim remains under investigation. According to the information provided, police may arrest more people in connection with the case.
