A woman died after falling from the 10th floor of a building in the Aravali Enclave society in Vrindavan Yojna, Lucknow, on Wednesday evening. The woman's father, a retired additional district judge, accused her husband of harassing her over money and killing her.

According to Sharda Prasad Tiwari, his daughter had been living with her husband, Ravindra Dwivedi, and their two children on the 4th floor of the Aravali Enclave apartment complex.

Tiwari has accused his son-in-law of murder, claiming that Ravindra had been repeatedly harassing his daughter for money to repay a loan for the flat. He alleged that Ravindra threw his daughter from the 10th floor, leading to her death.

Speaking to reporters, Tiwari said, "He has thrown her from the 10th floor and killed her." He further claimed that the son-in-law had been tormenting his daughter for financial reasons ever since their marriage.

"For many years I sent him Rs 10,000 every month. However, I stopped sending him money after he started threatening us. He threatened us for not getting the money during a strike of bank employees," the woman's father said.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident. They are examining CCTV footage from the building, as well as other evidence gathered from the scene. The body of the woman has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death.

The Lucknow Police said that they had launched an investigation into the case, adding that the process of filing an FIR in the case has been initiated.
