DETAILS OF UPPSC PCS PRELIMS 2024

In its official notification, the commission mentioned that the UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024 exam will be conducted in two sessions each day, owing to the limited number of examination centres that meet the required standards to accommodate the large number of candidates.

"According to the provisions, despite every possible effort to meet the required standards concerning the number and capacity of examination centres recommended by the committees for determining centres in all districts of the state, the availability of appropriate centres is not feasible in accordance with the number of candidates," reads the official notice.

The UPPSC has announced that the exams scheduled for December 7 and 8, 2024, will be held in two sessions each day. The first session will take place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and the second session will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. These exams will be conducted across 41 districts in the state, as stated in the official notification.

The UPPSC RO 2024 exam will also be conducted in multiple shifts, as a maximum of 5 lakh candidates can be accommodated in a single shift. If the number of candidates exceeds this limit, the exam will be held in multiple shifts. With over 10 lakh candidates having applied for the test, the exam will be conducted in two shifts on December 22 and in a single shift on December 23.
