Mumbai Police have arrested a 12th accused in the firing case involving actor Tiger Shroff, with the latest arrest made in Haryana’s Sonipat. The accused, identified as Aman, was apprehended from Rohna village over his alleged links to the case and financial transactions involving his bank account.
Aman is reportedly an associate of Kunal, who was arrested earlier in the investigation.
Mumbai Police personnel have reached Sonipat to take custody of Aman and bring him to Mumbai for further interrogation.
Investigators are expected to question him about the financial trail linked to the case and establish the nature of his alleged involvement in the firing incident.
11 ACCUSED PRODUCED BEFORE COURT
Earlier on Thursday, all 11 accused arrested in the case were produced before a special court under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in Mumbai, where the Crime Branch sought their remand for further investigation.
The police told the court that digital evidence, including voice chats exchanged between the accused, had been recovered.
According to the prosecution, the accused operated as a coordinated team, making it necessary to interrogate them together and confront them with the recovered evidence.
Seeking 10 days of police custody, investigators said they needed to establish the source of the weapons, including one reportedly of foreign origin, and identify those who provided logistical and ground-level support.
The police also sought permission to collect voice samples from the accused and question them about their communications through applications such as Signal.
The Crime Branch informed the court that MCOCA provisions had been invoked in the case.
Gang leader Anil Pandit, who allegedly directed the attack, remains absconding, according to the police.
The defence, meanwhile, argued that the police had already recovered the weapons and made significant seizures, contending that the accused should be sent to judicial custody.
The medical condition of the ninth accused, Sameer, who reportedly has only one functional kidney, was also brought to the court’s attention.
The firing took place on October 18 in Mumbai’s Juhu area, where assailants on a motorcycle opened fire near a football ground where Shroff had been playing.
The actor escaped unhurt, while his driver and another person sustained injuries.
With Aman’s arrest, investigators are expected to examine the financial links further and trace any remaining members of the alleged network.
