Man arrested by UP STF in Agra for duping jobseekers on promise of govt jobs

A man has been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) in Agra for allegedly duping people by promising them government jobs.

The accused, identified as Radhe Meena, a resident of Rajasthan, is said to be an active member of an interstate gang involved in cheating jobseekers.

He and his associates would allegedly target unsuspecting aspirants by promising them government appointments and collecting money from them.

According to the police, they would later prepare fake documents and appointment letters to convince their target that they had successfully secured the job.

The STF said it recovered two Railway Recruitment Cell application forms and two forged appointment letters from the possession of the accused. Seven forged stamps of different government departments were also seized.

During questioning, Meena allegedly revealed information about another member of the gang.

The investigation also indicated that the interstate network had previously taken money from two people in Agra after promising to arrange government jobs for them.

The accused had allegedly reached Agra to collect the remaining Rs 2 lakh from them. The gang used forged appointment letters as part of its method of convincing people that they would be given government jobs.

Meena also has cases related to cheating registered against him in Rajasthan.
