CTET 2026 application correction window closes tomorrow: Check editable fields

CBSE will close the CTET 2026 application correction window on September 10. Candidates can edit selected form details on ctet.nic.in until the deadline.

Candidates who have applied for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 have only one day left to make corrections to their application forms. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which opened the online correction window on September 7, will be closing the application edit window on September 10.

According to the latest public notice issued by CBSE, candidates can make applicable corrections to their particulars through the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in. The board has clearly stated that no correction will be permitted after September 10 under any circumstances.

The correction facility is available not only to candidates who registered during the latest application window but also to those who had submitted their forms during the initial registration period.

The online application process for the 22nd edition of CTET was initially conducted from May 11 to June 10, 2026. CBSE later provided an additional opportunity to eligible candidates who could not apply during the first window. The second application window for CTET remained open from August 25 to September 1, 2026.

To make corrections, candidates should visit the official CTET website and access the online correction facility using their application credentials. After making the required changes, applicants should carefully verify the updated information before submitting the form.

CTET 2026 APPLICATION: THINGS THAT CAN BE EDITED

Candidates can make online corrections to several particulars in their CTET 2026 application forms during the correction window. The editable details include

  • Name
  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Category
  • Differently abled category
  • Paper opted (Paper I or Paper II)
  • Subject selected for Paper II, and Language I and/or Language II

Candidates can also update their correspondence address and the name of the institution, college or university from which they obtained their B.Ed degree, Diploma in Elementary Education or other relevant qualification.

The CTET September 2026 exam, initially scheduled for September 6, has been postponed by CBSE. The revised date is yet to be announced, and candidates are advised to await the official notification for the new schedule. The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates to teach Classes 1 to 8. Depending on the level they wish to teach, candidates can appear for Paper I, Paper II, or both, provided they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.
