UP Board Class 10, 12 compartment, improvement exams on July 28

UPMSP has announced the 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 compartment and improvement exam schedule. The practicals begin on 16 July and schools must follow strict centre and surveillance rules.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced the schedule for the High School Class 10 and Intermediate Class 12 compartment and improvement examinations for 2026. The compartment and improvement exams will be held on July 28, while, the practical exams will be conducted in mid and late July for eligible candidates who have applied online.

According to separate notifications issued by the UP Board, the practical examinations for Intermediate compartment candidates, as well as High School project-based practicals and internal assessment, will be held on July 16 and 17, 2026. The examinations will be conducted at designated government or government-aided schools under the supervision of examiners appointed by the board's regional offices.

UP BOARD 2026 COMPARTMENT: EXAM DATES, GUIDELINES

For the practical examinations scheduled on July 16 and 17, students have been advised to contact their respective schools or the office of the District School Inspector for details of their examination centres. School principals have also been instructed to submit High School internal assessment marks and Intermediate practical examination OMR sheets to the concerned regional offices by July 20, 2026.

For High School improvement and compartment candidates, and Intermediate candidates appearing for the exams, the tests will be held on July 28, 2026 in two shifts. The first shift will run from 8:30 am to 11:45 am, while the second shift will be conducted from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

UPMSP GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOLS, ETC

The board has directed District School Inspectors (DIOS) to appoint centre administrators and ensure that all examinations are conducted in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Entry into examination centres will be restricted to authorised personnel and registered candidates only.

UPMSP has also instructed centres to install CCTV cameras at entry gates and examination rooms, ensure uninterrupted power supply, maintain proper seating arrangements, and provide clean drinking water and sanitation facilities. Computer systems required for the practical examination must be in working condition before the test begins.

The board said candidates should report to their examination centres at least 45 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Centre administrators have been asked to verify candidates through photo identity records and maintain a 24x7 functional CCTV recording system throughout the examination process.
